Brooklands Radio Interview with Guy Blythman

It was quite a relaxed interview, David just sat me down in front of a microphone and we chatted away for half an hour or so. He seems to be enjoying the book. He asked me quite an eclectic range of questions, including whether the Thunderbirds story on my website was too adult; I said the portrayal of the characters was more sophisticated than you would normally get in a kids’ show but you wouldn’t find them getting into bed with one another! A lot of it was about Agatha Christie (the novel is a murder mystery after all!). He liked the humour page on the site, especially the piece about the Second Coming being covered by the media as if it were a general election. I finished by saying that the failure of independent self-publishing authors to break into the mainstream wasn’t a reflection on the quality of their writing.
